One time, the teachers gave all the people with blonde hair sweets, and made the rest of us pick up those little circles of paper you get from hole-punchers. apparantly it was to "Show the class what it was like to be in a german concentration camp." true story!
what was the ratio of blondes to prisoners? high?
i've found those little paper slits to be pretty fun. collect them and throw them in peoples faces as confetti. collect more and place handfuls on the blades of ceiling fans, turn them on. yaaaaaaaay. (i've done this with playing cards too.) wanna know what else is fun? empty plastic waterbottle to a ceiling fan, mouth up.

doing it with huge pixi sticks though, the plastic ones, i almost broke my fan doing that. :/
but yeah, in 8th grade history class we were learning about slavery and the slave trade. one day my teacher led us to another history teachers room, the windows were covered in black paper, another class was there, it was dark and crowded....and then we were made to lie down. we lay shoulder to shoulder on the floor, no space to move. our wrists were bound with rubber bands, it was a sweaty spring morning, around 11. supposedly this was to simulate how it was like on a slave ship to the americas from west africa. (without of course, all the feces everywhere, diseases, constant rocking and seasickness.
some girl that i sort of knew grabbed my hand and squeezed it. perhaps she was scared.
i have not seen her in nearly three years. we were not especially close, she believed i was a freak but i sort of miss her. she has left the country.
