Hey,

Does anyone else get scared of teachers for apparently no reason? I was terrified of one of my teachers for absolutely ages and I realised that it was because she had a really loud voice and shouted a lot as well. I get scared of teachers that put you into a lot of awkward situations and I hate teachers now.

Please reply!!

I got really lucky and have really nice teachers. Some of them are really loud, but the students are usually louder.

Thank you for your reply. The students are never really that loud at my school, but if they are, the teachers shout over the top of them, which is annoying and makes me scared of them. At the moment I am not really scared of any teachers and I am really hoping that I never get scared of teachers again. I'm trying really hard. There was one teacher that I nearly got scared of but my friends and I were convinced that he was more scared of us than I was of him because he always looked scared in lessons.

Thank you for sharing!

I usually am neutral towards teachers, but this year there's one I really really hate. It's not like I fear her, I hate her. A lot.
She once complained that my voice is too monotonic and she said that I'd have to put more emotion into my voice. At this point she could have given me a skull and asked me to recite "to be or not to be". Can't she mind her own business?
My mother found out she has a son of 13 with Asperger's. Maybe she wants me to talk in a non-monotonic tone because of that? It's not like I can and it's not like I want to do as she tells me.

There was one teacher last year that I really hated so much. She kept complaining that my art wasn't good enough even after I asked her to help me. She just said, 'come on, you can do it.' but I really couldn't. Then she graded me down for not being able to do it. She told me off for not co-operating this year and not being enthusiastic and stuff and that really annoyed me as well. But I have discovered this year that she is the only teacher that actually accepts me for who I am and although I haven't been officially diagnosed, she knows that I am different from everyone else and understands me. She knows I can get distracted, and lets me have rests and stuff, although I never do. I used to absolutely hate her but I think because now that I have had her for 2 years, she understands a little more so I don't hate her anymore.

In the 2nd grade I got this teacher named Miss Red (sp?) and she scared me so much that I had to be moved to another classroom. The details are really foggy in my memory, I just remember her being really scary for some reason and the way she tried to handle me being scared of her just made her more scary to me. But that was really the only one. There have been a few I have been somewhat nervous around or felt kinda intimidated by their personality. Now that I am in public school they kinda go overboard on trying to be gentle with me.
