I never really thought about it until now...
I market "never," because even though I remember my mother moving in awkwardly to hug me a couple times (like 6th grade graduation), I hated it, and we both were so awkward about it.
I didn't know that mothers show physical affection for their children until I was relatively old. I thought that was just in the movies lol.

(My mother always dodges the topic, but I'm pretty sure she's also ASD. She shows every telltale sign one could think of.)

A lot. I enjoy hugging if the person on the other end can hug properly (tight hugs) and is someone I know well.

For some reason I can't vote on this poll.

I was hugged a lot, by my mother, sometimes by my Dad.

I hug quite a bit. I used to hug my dad frequently, but for the wrong reasons.

He used to give long, rambling speeches on how I should be acting with others (in his defense, none of us had any idea about AS) and I'd get really worked up. I soon learned hugging was a good way to shut him up.

I said rarely, but maybe it's closer to never. My parents weren't much into physical demonstrations of love.

I would guess it was hardly ever, but I bet my mother would think more often, less so my father.

I do remember that I I did not like it much. Now that I am an adult I like hugs lots

I don't ever remember being hugged by my parents... my grandma was the only one who even bothered hugging me. And then she'd call me the wrong name, just like she always does.

Never. I hate being hugged. I hate the feeling of being smothered by anything other than my sheets in bed which need to be tucked in tightly around me. I hate people touching me in general. It makes me very uncomfortable.

I really like hugs, as long as they're not from someone creepy. In my family, it is a family greeting and farewell.

I loathe hugs, so much! When I finally recieved the word I had AS, I understood why I loathe hugs so much! Whenever I recieve a hug, my back stiffens and I look so awkward!
