I wanted to meet other people with Asperger's and autism. I also like reading the posts in the forums, and there are many people who share some of my interests.

Because I like posting here and talking with people and I've met some nice people and friends here.

I like reading different perspectives and hearing other people's stories. I never thought I would find so many with similar challenges and experiences as myself in one place. People are generally nice and it's well moderated. It's a very active site, which I like. If people would not post for days, that would make me feel lonely online as well as in life. Most importantly, it gives me an outlet to express myself honestly without fear of bad consequences or judgement.

So I can improve my social skills and maybe make some friends.

Why am I on WP?
1. Networking
2. Meeting other like-minded individuals with AS

Idle curiosity. I drift between forums on my quest for information and procrastination tools, and if I have a good first few months I'll stick. Sometimes I meet good friends.

I can't recall who told me about WP, but I'm still glad I made an account here! It's refreshing to know that other people care about what I think!
