why is this section even still here???

Yeah, it doesn't make a lot of sense.

I've posted about this before but never gotten a response. Whats the point in having this section, if we can't even edit the threads to contain new information???

Maybe the foreign language forum is the slowest.

Well, I'd say they both are the top two of slowest sections here.

Yeah the stats have about fifty-odd posts
the foreign one has a bit over 100

In fact I was just thinking that maybe this dead forum could be used for either Books and Literary Discussion, ( or, even more urgently, an AS-Parents, or Pre-Dx Survivors ... ), or some other theme/group which has not been allowed a forum, despite a lot of interest shown at various times.

I was just looking to see what the threads on here actually consist of; and am amazed by how many of the ones supposedly collecting data don't even have polls!

I like tidying, and organising objects, ( and maybe ideas ), and this kind of waste of space really annoys me. Especially as I have voted in the past both for an AS Parents board, and a Pre-Dx Survivors one, and seen the requests rejected on the grounds of the site not having enough space.

So long as it exists I think I might post a few polls!

Hm. Well I never came here before because when I saw stats, I just figured it was a lot of technical statistics regarding the site or some such thing... like how many hits this site gets per day or the demographic rundown or I do not know... things like that. Had I bothered to look before today, I would have likely posted in here before now. But seeing how inactive it is, I have to agree and wonder what the point is. Sure, it is a good enough place to stick some polls, but I have to agree that it might be a nicer use of space to have a place for pre dxers or AS parents. I imagine they would get at least as much traffic as this place is getting now, likely a little more... but who knows. There used to be a men's forum, right? Then it became just a thread and I do not think it gets a lot of activity... the same with the married cafe. I do not know.
