Interesting. This seems to suggest that the association of red with intensity and severity are correct. My general association is higher frequency=higher intensity, but that comes out of doing too many things related to blackbody radiation and not enough conversing or noting warning signs are generally yellow.

Well I like green so I am going to assume blue is highest functioning.....so green would be not as high functioning, so it works out based on that logic. Because I don't think I am exactly high functioning more in-between leaning towards higher functioning, at least when it comes to being on the spectrum.

Having no idea what you meant as criteria, I picked green because I like green.

I picked green because my favorite color is aquamarine, and the blue depicted is more of an indigo. After I voted, I googled "true cyan" and experienced the optical illusion thingie. What a beautiful color! Not sure how it correlates to the spectrum, or to any spectrum, but seeing something so pretty brightened my day. :-)

This data is taken from the, "AS or NT?" thread. I should probably conduct a more specific investigation, but it will have to do for now. From the tiny amount of data we have, given that there is a correlation, it seems as though most consider higher frequencies as associated with higher severities of autism. However, we do have only 13 pieces of data, so more waiting should be done.

I looked for the "AS or NT?" thread and can't find it (I'm new here). This is really interesting! Please let us know when and if you'd like us to do a self-test and post or pm you the scores so you can have more data to work with.

Thanks for posting this discussion, it's a really good one! My new cure for indulging in mild depression is to gaze at true cyan. :-)

Now I know this is an open question, so I will not provide any guidelines on which side is more autistic or neurotypical. Just place yourself where you think you belong and I will do my best to correlate the data with information on how many users of different severities respond to polls.

I concluded from looking at the poll results that blue is autistic. Therefore, I am blue-green.

I choose red based on my political leanings, i.e. red as in social-democracy, not as in American Republican party. Left of red I would interpret as something like commie-anarchist, which would be too extreme for me.

BTW, it's interesting that the results are now skewed toward blue after kevinjh mentioning that he associated red with NT, whereas he noted before that he was seeing a bell curve.

Infrared because I think it suits me. Has nothing to do with my AS, but I think it just suits my personality in general.

I chose yellow, because there's no extreme but even on WP I feel a little less able sometimes.
