Long or short hair? (Or somewhere in-between?)

Medium/shoulder length right now but I'm really missing short hair...

I've been growing out a pixie cut for a year and a half now...
I don't know. I love being able to finally do things with my hair, but I miss being able to get out of bed and practically look ready for the day without messing around lol
I think it's worth trying going short at least once if you're unsure about it. So liberating! No more having to reach for hairdryers and hair products everytime! XD
It got kinda expensive for me to maintain though...hence why I'm just keeping it as it is for now.

Interesting to see there's so many liking super-lengthy locks here though - is it as much work to maintain as I think it is or is that just a myth?
o-o (I'm sure it takes longer to dry ofc, but I know some people just have naturally straight hair or natural curls that they don't need to do much. Kinda jealous!)

welcome to the club long hair is manageable if it is naturally thick, since the bulk will keep the hair from tangling. but if it is thin like mine, you need to do things like brushing it out in the shower while washing it, the flowing water will help to untangle it while brushing. then keep it in a ponytail to minimize any further tangles.

long hair. its a perfect cover to hide behind when things get to overwhelming or just when im out in public, period. and i never wear it in a ponytail because it makes me feel very exposed to the world which is extremely uncomfortable for me. even if its 100 degrees outside.

Long - 3/4 down my back. I dread getting my hair cut. I've had panic attacks before because I get claustrophobic sitting in those chairs and not having a way out. I just had my hair trimmed the other day and thank God it only took them 5 minutes. I'm actually great at cutting my own bangs and I color my own hair too. Went blonde once, but it was $150 a pop and totally ruined my hair making it into lambs wool - now I do a box for $7 and my hair is in excellent condition. Woop woop!! I shoulda coulda been a hairdresser!!

^^^if you were to stop cutting it, how long do you think it would keep growing?

This last time it was almost to my butt and my clip couldn't even hold it up anymore - the comb teeth kept breaking. I had to get some cut because it's too heavy to put in a ponytail and it has to go up some way for work. I haven't went past this last length to find out.

you must have good hair genes mine is so fine that it tangles at the slightest breeze, at any length beyond butch.
