Innately Pessimistic. But I consider myself a realist. I just tend to see the negative, but try to be objective.

An optimist sees the glass half full.
A pessimist sees it half empty.
A scientist sees the space as half occupied.
A really optimistic scientist knows the glass is completely occupied (by air and water and various other particles)
A really pessimistic but accurate scientist knows the glass is probably mostly empty space (and the glass contains mostly empty space)
And an engineer knows the glass was made twice as big as was needed.
