Same with my Pa! That would be wonderful. I take after him in everything else except for this one important thing. Crap.

am in my mid-50s and my hair is starting to lighten. I don't know if that is gray or sun exposure bleaching it.

I get my hair cut really short(a #2 on the razor) but I don't get it cut again till It's so long I have a hard time combing it. Everytime I get it cut I see how much more hair I lost sense the last time due to male-patter baldness. At this rate in a couple years I'd only have hair in back my head like a mullet.

Long, only because I can't deal with haircuts, and have no clue about style.

I started growing my hair out in the eighth grade and only trimmed the split ends, wore it long for years and then had to cut it. I tried wearing it several different ways but got sick of it and decided to shave it all off and have worn it bald for twenty years now. I've thought about growing it back out but I'm almost completely gray now and it is just too easy to maintain like this, shave it every other day and in three minutes I'm done.

When I was much younger I used to have really short hair. Nowadays I have pretty long hair but I always have a ponytail.

does anybody here use heroic measures to perk up their hair, such as expensive pantene shampoo plus volumizers and conditioners and such?

^ LOL, no way.

I'd say my hair is a bit longer than index, middle and ring finger next to each other.
I'm growing it longer, but my mom doesn't approve of its fuzzy look right now, she thinks I should get it "cut into shape". :P

luckily I'm in my mid-50s and still have most of my hair, in distribution it is still where it was atop my head but it certainly is thinner, about half as thick as it was at half my age. hence the thickening goop things like volumizers and such.

I'm losing my hair due to male-pattern baldness & I tried to save it by afew means. Using Rogaine, taking Loniten which is the oral ingredient Rogaine is(it's a blood pressure med), & taking 3 meds partly for MPB. I quit the Rogaine & Loniten cuz it wasn't working but I'm still taking the 3 meds but I'm taking them more for other reasons; they reduce my body & facial hair & my sex drive.
