I play piano and sing seriously (semi professionally) and teach. And I have dabbled in violin, flute, guitar, fife, recorder, tin whistle and anything else that comes my way! Music is one of my special interests :)

I used to play violin at school, and for the last couple of years I've been regretting giving it up, so after Christmas I brought back my old one from my parents' house and have got it ready to play again, and am looking to take lessons.

I've also wanted to learn the guitar for a few years now and my parents have got me one for Christmas! I'm just waiting for it to be delivered now, and a good friend of mine is a guitarist and has said she'll teach me.

I'm in the process of learning tuba, can play In the Hall of the Mountain King at a decent speed and almost sightread, so if I continue it'll be three instruments seriously in addition to the horn and trombone. I'm already capable of playing trumpet, so if I learned euphonium I'd be able to play all the common brass instruments!

Guitar, flute and piano, neglected the latter one a lot though so might have to get back to it and play it more. :)

I intend to buy a violing and learn it. That shall be the next instrument to learn.

I used to play woodwind instruments. I was crap for practicing.

The last instrument I had was a soprano sax. I loved improvising on it. I think was got fairly good doing that, but maybe that's like singing in the shower. I could not play with others, mostly because I didn't have a good enough ear for pitches to just jump into something.

I answered no because I don't play now.

you might oughta take that sax and play it in the shower stall, it would make a glorious sound in there.

All of the following, from best to worst instrument

Bass guitar - many genres of metal and funk playing in progressive structure
Guitar - a few forms of metal, many chord shapes a la Lamb of God
Keyboard - Just started, but very fun and versatile isntrument. I use about 15 voices in a typical session.
Vocals - 6 styles
Tribal Drums - also want to get an egyptian drum...those are so tense sounding

I also write lyrics and compose.

Wrote a symphonic "djent" album in Opeth format, acoustic parts and all. Now writing my second album, which will be ambient metal.

I had forgotten when I posted here before that I sort of played the flute in band in high school.

So, used to play the piano, used to sort of play the flute.

I can play a CD player though. ;-)
