I always wondered about the word 'Caucasian'. Now I know it's US slang for white.

I'm Caucasian and my family's all German since at least two centuries. Totally boring. The only cool thing that's running in my 'blood' is that both lines I descend from love English speaking countries. Our people constantly move other to the US, NZ, Australia, whatever.

I'm mixed. My mother is white British and my dad is black Nigerian.

The word Causasian is in reference to the people on the west side of the Caucase (sp?) mountains. Yes, that just means we have white skin. That's a misnomer really, we're more peachy beige. Whatever.

As posted above, there is a propensity for autism is Northen Europeans but I have no idea why - it's not just diagnostics eitther. Something to do with our bloodline. I don't know too much about this and there are plenty of exceptions. I read (somewhere) there's less autistics in Latino cultures, genetically.

Interestingly, Aspies/Auties have a propensity to having rh negative blood types. I am 0 negative! It's quite a marked difference! Don't know why.

You mean we all originated from Armenia or (ex-Soviet) Georgia?

Isn't that due to other cultures/etc having less of a focus and research; not as deep research into autism inthose cultures?

Im latino. Mexican to be specific. There are actually two other people with asperger's in my family but outside of them, I don't know of other Hispanics aspies. It seems strange but it may be carried in genetically by old Spanish roots. It's just a mystery.

Wow, I'm actually something nobody else has posted yet: adopted! So, yeah, I don't know. I do know that I am generally putty-colored (to borrow from Robert Fulghum), unless exposed to the Mexican sun for a week. In that case, I become (to quote my mother): "You look like a native! Why did they let you out of their country?". Thanks, Mom.
But I tan like crazy (when I go outside) and have scary dark eyes, so maybe she was sort of on the right track. Who knows. I just like to check "other" in the "ethnicity" box on forms and write: Human Being. It usually makes people laugh. Too bad it's really not a joke.
