Speaking accent

What the aim of this thread is asking, "What's your speaking accent?"

Mine's just a typical American accent. Being born in this country despite being of Asian decent does that t'ya.

My accent is strange, I'm from the UK, but it is a mixture of Australian, American and British, even though i've never been to those countries (although i really want to ) I guess i pick accents up easier than i can drop them. If that makes any sense

People have said that I have a British accent even though I'm from Australia. I have been to the UK though and I do have a British background etc.. so this might account for it, although I originally started off with an Australian accent, the fact that it appears to have changed is perhaps strange?, given more thought I could probably come up with a theory.

Mostly typical American; ever so slightly southern (I say "y'all" occasionally, but otherwise sound like a northerner for the most part.)

I do get mistaken for Canadian sometimes, though it happened more often when I was younger.

Fascinating. I have observed that the average American frequently can't tell the difference between accents from the U.K. and Australia very well. I am American, and usual sound like one. However, people have said that I have a slightly Middle Eastern accent before....... don't know where that came from. My Hebrew isn't great, and I hardly ever get a chance to practice it. When I'm talking with someone I feel totally entirely comfortable talking with(so far I have found less than I have fingers on one hand) my voice changes a bit, and picks up a second tone quality, like I was modifying my voice before without noticing it. It's something I don't really understand.

British; Lancashire.

South African, Afrikaans accent.

South east England. Average really. Because of my Northern Irish heritage I can some times slip, but I notice it more than any one else.

I can pick up accents very easily: Irish, Scottish, west country, Welsh, York, Texan, New Jersey, general American, French, German, Indian and even Russian!

I suppose it's kind of chameleon like. Perhaps an AS thing? I don't know.

Plain old American. Though I do tend to unconsciously mimic the accent of whoever I'm talking to.

I've lived in Louisiana all my life & people can tell I have a southern accent but it's not typical southern like Alabama, Georgia, Texas so I guess it's Louisiana accent

I was born/raised in California, and still live here, but everyone says I have an accent that they can't quite pinpoint, and they want to know where I'm from.

When I speak in English, I have a Californian accent. When I speak in Vietnamese, a lot of adults say that I have bit of a Northern Vietnamese accent for some reason. I think it sounds more southern; I've heard people with the northern accents before.

Typical Northern American accent for me. Sometimes I sound a little British, but that's usually because of me listening to musicians with British accents.

I have a grits n gravy accent with an overlay of british due to being a US southerner and having had a slight stoke that gave me foriegn accent syndrome.

South African English accent diluted by 8 years in New Zealand. I am socially chameleonesque so pick up accents quickly.

Someone told me once that I sound drunk when I'm not.
