In response to This Thread, I thought I'd collect some actual statistics on the subject. No one has to post anything here, as the aforementioned thread seems sufficient for that.

Please select one of the options.

Thank you.

I shower a lot. I don't like getting or feeling dirty.

Every 2 or 3 days ideally, but sometimes a little longer between. I don't typically sweat a lot and my hair doesn't start looking like it needs to be washed until about two and a half days after the last wash, so I don't see a point in showering every single day. My mom certainly would say something if she thought I needed to shower more frequently for any reason and she hasn't, so I assume that's sufficient for me.

It's very rare that I don't shower each day. If I've worked outside on a hot day or on something dirty, then I'll take two showers in a day. The only time that I skip a day showering is if I showered the night before rather than the morning before. I would feel extremely out of sorts if I didn't shower for days on end or a week. I like the feeling of being clean. I soap up my body each time, but almost never shampoo my hair. My hair is generally cut quite short, so it's sufficient for me to wet it down and then rub it dry briskly with a towel. By doing this it's never greasy looking nor does it look overly dry.

I have to wash my hair daily. It's pretty oily.

When I don't take a shower, my eyes sting to the point where I have trouble seeing.

Is it dried sweat that stings your eyes Korts? When I work outside on a hot/humid day and I'm sweating, drops of sweat sting my eyes.

It's a combination of sweat and tears (not from crying----just from the lubrication of my eyes).

From the movie Arthur:

Arthur: A hot bath is wonderful... Girls are WONDERFUL....

Hobson: Yes, imagine how wonderful a girl who bathes would be.

It generally depends on whether I'm leaving the house or not. If I have nowhere to go on the weekends, I may end up not showering for as long as from Thursday afternoon to Sunday night/Monday morning, but during the work week I tend to shower everyday.

I'm not sure what to vote for because I clean things at different rates
I brush my teeth every morning.
I wash my hands after each time I use the bathroom or if I've done something to get them very dirty.
I shower a couple times a week but I would try to do it every two nights. My doc recommended I do it that often due to my skin eczema but I sometimes forget. We also have to walk to the laundromat to wash our cloths which is a pain even thou the laundromat is close by.

I bathed or showered every night when I was in skewl & I showered every day when I was working but my jobs were cleaning related, diswasher, floor cleaning, & custodial. I would shave or bath every night the rest of the time too but I would occasionally skip.

5-7 x a week since I've been living here. At my last place where I didn't have support I was self neglecting including not bathing regularly.
Oral hygiene is a major issue. Psych notes back to the early 80s mention it. I don't have a phobia/sensory reaction to brushing my teeth. I struggle to remember to do so.

I wish I didn't see the other thread 8O

I usually shower every day - with rare exceptions (I also work out almost every day, so it's needed). I wash my privates every time I use the toilet - no exceptions!

I have and cultivate a good immune system and don't use anti-bacterial stuff and wouldn't hesitate to pick and eat food off the floor (in my house), but I get really particular about keeping my mouth and arse clean
