How is it possible to apply for jobs, apply for long-term housing, and keep up with school work at the same time?

I know that applying for jobs and housing sounds easy, but it actually takes up a lot of time. I spent all day yesterday just working on a resume and cover letter for one job. The resume and cover letter are not even finished yet and I have two papers due today that I haven't started and I have to do more things for the housing application and on top of all that, I have three animals, one of which is sick, and both of my parents are dealing with crisis situations so I have to offer them support.

Needless to say, I should not be wasting time on this site, but . . . Does anyone have any time management advice? How do normal people deal with these things?

Have you tried setting a daily time limit on certain activities so you can devote more time to your application processes?

It does require a lot of willpower, but it can be done.

Yes, I have stopped wasting time, basically. I only come on here when I need a break from my work. It's just that when I focus on one important activity, before I know it, the whole day has gone by and I've fallen behind on another responsibility. And I usually still have work to do on whatever took all day. I don't know how to juggle so many different stressful activities successfully.

Once you have your resume done, you can use it over and over.

Once you have your cover letter done, you can just tweak it a bit for each new job.

I'm playing with setting a timer to go off every hour, and switch tasks so I don't fall into one. It's helped some. I'm hoping being more aware of time will help me make a schedule.
