... how about Air Traffic Controller in the vicinity of Chicago O'Hare (ORD), New York (JFK), Los Angeles Int'l (LAX), or even Heathrow (LHR)?

... that would be a bit stressful I think.

Doing the job is not generally much of a problem.

What surrounds it, the people and politics is.

Put another way, dealing with objects is ok even if they are people.

Speaking NT is a whole different game.

Accepting injustice, lies, nonesense, is difficult. Keeping silent on this is even harder, speaking NT as code for it, ouch.

A political leader (having to constantly multi-task and present well)
Law enforcement ( though it would be cool to work in this field, I have the det.skills but not the tough exterior)

working at the checkouts isnt all that bad, better than stacking shelves...

My nightmare jobs?

Anything in customer service. I did work as a cashier for a short time but couldn't handle getting swarmed by many people all at once.

Any job where I have to deal with lots of people. I worked in a nursing home where some of the residents were like bratty children and my colleagues were a bunch of catty back stabbers.

Taxi driver. The job itself isn't hard to do but the hours are long and the pay is lousy. Also there are lots of difficult and STINKY people you have to deal with. Drunks who puke their guts out in the cab -gross! People who don't wash and they smell like dirty diapers -I've had to drive with my window down and my head outside for some -BLECHHHH! And the ornery ones... how I would have like to use them for karate practice! Attitude adjustment: Free

I'm a person who has had a lot of different jobs over the years, selecting from fast-food, supermarket jobs, packaging at a hog processing plant, bartender, flagging on the highway, working on a pipeline with a bunch of men, inbound and outbound telemarketing, piano teacher, being a server, and teaching at elementary schools. None of the jobs listed above have lasted very long, but that's because of my lack of social skills. I'm hoping to change that with my upcoming teaching career.

I'll tell ya, the most nightmarish job for me would be to be a nurse or a doctor. They have to work insane hours and wipe people's butts and clean up puke and blood. Being a waitress is also difficult because you have to be on your feet all day and put up with peoples' complaints. Wouldn't be my cup of tea.

Being a gay porn star. This would suck, being straight and all.

Pretty much every job someone of my age with my experience is qualified for. Customer service, sales, etc. My asperger's did not prepare me for this world's job market, which is why I intend to make a living with my music eventually. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemus ... dID=243997

Basically anything that requires manual labour or being civil to people, unless I am in my specialty area (a bookshop attendant, for example, I could cope with).

Can't deal with till work not the till but the people. Be unbearable happy is something I hate doing.

It was horrible.

A lawyer. There's already too many of them.

I'm good at anything where I can be alone and deal with things, numbers or text.

I was a temple administrator for a while and sucked at it. Although there were things I was good at, the really important part of the job - persuading volunteers to do things - I loathed and it showed. Also loathed the politics and power plays, which were incomprehensible to me esp. in a religious setting.

I was a pretty good cashier though; I simply dealt with the customers as if they were things and thus would respond to certain types of manipulation from me (they usually did) and on a good day this was sorta fun in a "you have no idea what I really think of you!" kind of way.

My nightmare job would be teacher in a pre-school. Chaos, noise, confusion, bodily fluids, children, and their irrational parents - no way would I last even an hour.

Receptionist for a place that has more than two incoming phone lines, telemarketing, or door-to-door anything.
