I don't have prosopagnosia, but I like the idea of doing that anyway. "I just came in to get some water..." At the very least, they would be less hesitant to say 'Hi' to you next time. Probably bad advice, but fun anyway.

I work doing graphics at a mobile game company. When I started a few years ago, my boss would get concerned every once and a while that because I was quiet, I was unhappy with my situation. It was sort of funny being called in to his office and being asked if everything was ok... I would be pretty surprised that he thought I seemed unhappy, and had to reassure him that everything was fine and that I loved my job...

Most of the people in my office are introverted game devs, so I get along pretty well. Unlike a few here though, I don't eat lunch alone normally. I usually go out with two other guys there to grab something to eat every day at noon. It's become part of my routine... and it always feels strange when we go 10 minutes late, or I just end up going with one of them. Ack!

Being one of only 3 girls working in a company with more than 30 people is strange too (although the third girl I haven't met yet, since she's new)... It's like, I'm expected to relate to the others in a closer way than to the guys that work there, which I totally don't understand. Besides what's between our legs, we have absolutely nothing in common. Other girls are so taxing on my limited social energy...

When someone asks me "How's it going?" I like to respond with "It's almost gone."

HAH! I like that, I'll have to try it next time. I tend to fall back on "Slowly" since that's usually how I feel in the office. It's... going..... ver..y... slowly. Plus it creates a break in the person's habitual rhythm which I find pleasing. Like a "huh?" moment. A little taste of their own medicine.

I'll have to remember that.

Here's mine- when asked "how are you?" my answer is either "here" or "awake". This even got a laugh out of the latinas at work when one lady said "como estas?" and i replied with "aqui"
