Okay I went to see a former instructor about a job a month ago. We were on good terms, he even said to save my sales pitch for my second interview with his bosses. Okay so time goes by and I send this email last week and he replies back:
"I will be putting out calls on the 21st to set up interviews for the 23rd
to the 27th. And yes when its nice down here is amazing. Talk to you soon."
So no call yet. No email. really trying to figure this one out so I don't blow my chance as this is a high profile company which would add great value to my dismal resume.
I think I should wait til middle of the week, say Wednesday and follow up somehow but HOW!? I'm going to come off as either over-eager or bitchy.
Any perspective on this? I should also mention this is an Executive Chef, former instructor that I impressed, second year as the boss of this resort. My position is one in the morning, not very challenging but a great spot for me.

Email him and say "Hello, I'm following up about the chef position at the Flamingo Resort. I just wanted to let you know that I'm still very interested and would love the chance to interview with your team. Thanks again for your time."
If he replies back with an interview time, great. If he replies that you're not getting an interview, send him a gracious thank you and tell him you hope the company will consider you in the future. If you don't hear from him at all, probably a sign it's not a great place to work.
