I work odd jobs that I find on craigslist because i can't seem to go to an interview without it turning into a complete disaster. I work on an almost daily basis, and every time i work i have to meet new people. Today i'm filling in for a Hotel house keeper. Meeting new people is very difficult for me, having some sort of PDD or ASD. What can i do when meeting new people to help me make the best impression possible? What can i do to relax before going into the place of business? Should i talk less, or attempt to talk more? I often shut down in front of new people, and i don't know what to say, i feel like i'm under a microscope. If i try to talk more it usually ends up coming out awkward or at times inappropriate for the occasion. I panic in social settings, and its very troublesome for me. any tips to stay cool?

keep what other people think of your English skills to a bare minimum, impart just enough "with-it-ness" to get what they are saying/follow their instructions. as ben franklin said, "keep silent and as a fool be thought, rather than open one's mouth and removing all doubt."
