I currently work part-time in my local supermarket and up till now ( well a week ago) I worked stacking shelves in the groccery department and AS wasn't really an issue for me, but I've now been moved to checkouts, because of store budgeting reasons, and think this could be more of a problem.

I'm planning to go in and speak with the personel department tomorrow and disclose to them, I'm just not sure how to go about it, and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this sort of thing ?

I was also looking for some sort of "guide to aspergers for employers" similar to this dyspraxia foundation - guide to dyspraxia for employers but there doesn't seem to be anything.

Edit - should have mentioned I live in the UK, don't know if that will make a difference.

Are you wanting to 'not' be on the checkouts?

I need some clarification before I can answer.

I'd rather work in a different department from checkouts yes, but I don't really have any choice so I'm going to try and make the best of it. That's part of why I'm letting them know just now so they don't think I'm not trying and give me into trouble for that. If that makes sense ?
