I am a diagnosed aspie, who has always struggled with asking for help.

For the last three years i have been studying to be a paramedic but in the last year the pressure of the job has increased greatly. The hours have changed and the very little time on the road this year means that i am really struggling to gain any sort of confidence with my skills.
I have also been put on an action plan as my communication skills are not good enough according to the service. I need some advice from those who have maybe been in a similar situation or in the service as to good ways to improve either of these.

Please i am feeling rather lost at the moment.

Do you have the time/option of joining a volunteer EMT unit? Those tend to let you practice as you gain knowledge and competence. Until then, you assist and observe those rendering aid.

Do you have a mentor or point of contact at the training school?
I'd just ask them that you'd appreciate some help with those skills you feel are causing you difficulty.
