Yea, I agree with all of those, but the only way to grow comfortable with those situations is to experience them.

But...Andy Kaufman was a children's entertainer and then a stand up comedian, if he was indeed someone on the spectrum
but he also practiced Transcendental Meditation which helped his nerves and confidence an awful lot

grocery store management

I actually (temporarily) conquered my fear of phones and stage fright by working as a travel agent. The phone work was hard (returning customer calls and calling travel companies for rates) but I could indulge in my geography and brochure obsession. it also served as my intro to computers-I hated and feared computers before working in the travel industry.

Receptionist, especially the sort who is expected to do an entirely separate job at the same time, e.g., law office with transcription (!) in between calls and visitors.

'Lie detector'/criminal psychologist for the FBI or something? ;)

I conquered my fear of telephones and making a dickens of myself by erm... becoming a journalist!! The best way to get through things and get over fears is to just do it and don't worry about mucking up first time round. I think I could just about do anything now - asperger's makes reeeally strong people.

I did comedy on stage for a short time. I liked it except I had too much anxiety.

School bus driver seems like the worst job I can think of.

Middle school teacher.

You couldn't give me enough money in the world to deal with a bunch of loud, obnoxious, knuckle-headed 13 year-olds who think they're grown. I didn't like that age group when I was in middle school.
