A Big Failure At Getting A Payed Job
(Sigh) I'm not going to get into pointless arguments with anyone, I'm just going to make my point across, Me + College = A BIG FAT NO. I've got my volunteer work at a nearby public library and if I work hard enough there, who knows, it may become a payed job in the long run, plus, I'm good with artwork, so, maybe I'll work at a tattoo and body piercing parlor, I plan on taking singing classes so I can be a lead singer in my own Goth Metal band where I can make money selling albums if my music is good, maybe I'll become a Manga Comic Book artist and sell my books to those who enjoy reading Manga, I have a lot of dreams that I could make come true, if I put my mind and heart to it, everything will pan out the way I want it to.
People can get jobs without going to college, they could work at fast food joints like MacDonald's, Burger King, Dunkin' Donuts, Wendy's, or they could work at arts and crafts stores like Michael's or A.C.Moore, or they could work at small clothing stores, those kind of jobs don't require a college education, they'd only require enough experience from previous jobs.
Everything is all good, I don't need put-downs or let-downs.
Gothic, I felt exactly like you this year. But I took a lot of time to reflect and divulge in my personal interests.
I was a failing stand up comedian for the longest time, vying for the spot light. The bottom line was: I wanted attention.
So maybe there's an underlying issue that needs to be addressed before taking any further steps.
Hey, you went farther into stand up comedy than me. It's been a thing that I've been kicking around in my head but I can't find the guts or whatever to try to go there.

If you really want to do it. You should. It's a cut-throat scene however. It's funny because when I did comedy here I had access to big rooms like The Comic Strip and Yuk Yuk's. But when I went down to the states (I was lucky I got to play The Comedy Store and The Improv) but if I hadn't been so lucky I would have found myself playing spots like the corner of a starbucks or the empty dining hall of a run down hotel in East LA.

I notice there's lots of "maybes" So you can't just go and say "BIG FAT NO" to all of the suggestions... especially rational ones.
Well, I'll be honest, I'm not a "maybe" kind of person, especially if I hear people give me ideas that have nothing to do with my interests, the only time I'll say, "maybe" is if someone encourages me to work hard on making my dreams about my interests come true, if people start talking to me about their interests and they try to pushe them on me, my response will always be, "I'm sorry but I'm going to have to give you a BIG FAT NO. Thank you for the ideas though." I'd rather do things that have to do with my interest, drawing my own Anime/Manga, play video games that I like, do a lot of knitting, sing and dance to my kind of music, write my own stories and poetry, watch tv shows and movies that I like, etc. And you know, my artwork is so good, that I think I'll become a tattoo artist, I can go to tattoo school and learn how to give people tattoos if they want them, easy as pie.
You know, a lot of my friends who also have Asperger Syndrome also talk about how they're in college while they're working and they always brag about it, but they don't realize that a lot of us other people don't want to go to school because a lot of us have had a lot of bad and terrible experiences with school and that we don't want to go through it again, I've had my bad experiences in Middle School and High School, and because of that, I don't want to go to college, Hell, I've even had bad experiences when I went to college for 6 months, there's no way in hell that I'm going to go back to college, I don't care what it is or where it is, i'd rather keep my volunteer work until I gain enough experience to get a payed job in the long run, school is not important to me and it never will be, i'll stick to my interests and my interests alone, I don't need people telling me, "oh, maybe you should go to some college or university." this whole topic is about getting jobs and work, not school, if we're talking about school, than this will be moved to the School forum.
