I don't understand why I got fired. Someone give me advice?

I'll pretty much say the same thing: Customer service jobs suck for us. People don't like to be inconvenienced, or feel they're targeted for it, and don't like the rules of where they're shopping to stop them. The real rule of the trade is, "Keep them happy within reason, but ask a manager if something feels over the top." Frankly, they should nix the whole 2 strawberries bit, but they're corporate goofs trying to save money where they can.

As for job hunting, look for stuff that requires a minimum of social interaction.

Some companies have very strict yeild targets for their sites, so staff are forced to keep to the strict portion control. If a site fails its targets then they get into trouble. I have seen everything being counted and matched to the sales figures, including paper napkins.

Was there an option for the customer to pay for extra strawberries? That would allow the customer to get their wish (many customers would lack the literacy/ numeracy to work out they had been charged a surcharge).
