As an aside, has anyone been to Jimmy Johns? Those guys are rocket fast. I once timed them and It took less then 30 sec from walking in to walking out with a sub. they live up to their motto "Subs so fast you'll freak."

I never eat there. The smell from outside - like at McDonald's - is enough to put me off.

Best decision you could ever make. I never understood how some customers would come in and say how good it smelled inside our store. Burnt chemicals and yeast. That stuff stuck to our clothes and would make us reek all day outside of work unless we showered. It literally sinks into your pores.

And old mustard and bleach. I still have my subway apron tucked away from years ago, and it still reeks.

The fact that the recipe of bread for Subway is about 80% air the rest is flat bread. All though I admire your working effort and I understand your situation as a worker. I have met rude Subway workers before as well. It's 50/50. I try to be as respectful as I can though, unless the other person is not respectful.

edit:

In your situation if I was a customer behind that lady, with that video, I would have murdered the lady in front of you.

"I'd like a 5 dollar footlong Italian sandwich on Italian bread or whatever bread you like," boom done.

But since I'm vegan, I only had a 6 inch

"I'd like a 6 inch veggie sandwich on Italian bread," boom done.

I was that way at my job as a personal challenge to myself, and because I wanted to get the social interaction over with as fast as I could. Some people loved how fast I was but others were put off by it. Apparently those people didn't like to get their food quickly or something.
