The coworkers I have the most problem with are the ones who manage to climb the ladder based on their ability to spew work-related trivia and be pushy, but don't really deliver anything of real value to the workplace (and often spend most of their time screwing off, lying about it, and backstabbing anyone who complains or wants them to be accountable). They set me off like crazy.

Yes. I have more than one.

One girl, she talks loud on the phone all day every day. She cannot separate herself from the phone. She just cannot keep her mouth shut for one second. If she's not on the phone, she's always talking loudly with other coworkers. If she isnt playing with her coworkers, she sings out loud by herself. She even dances from time to time. Her horrible work ethic is poisonous to the work environment and because she's not doing her job I have to pick up her slack and do it. Otherwise, I myself will get in trouble because I work in a "cooperative" environment. She knows when the boss is watching so whenever he's not there she's always playing around. Surprisingly, the boss doesnt care and she even talks on the phone in front of him. The main underlying problem is the boss being extremely lenient to certain people at work but yet at the same time being hostile to others (management issue I suppose).

Other coworker of mine steals. She has seniority and boss trusts her completely because she's manipulative. Her main goal at work is to make herself look better than everyone else so she'll go above and beyond to make herself appear that way.

Another one has terrible mood swings and will throw tantrums at people.

I love my job

i have a stupid coworker who used to talk loudly whole day,
she used to dose off often
and used to teach sitting on the chair
singing and dancing was her passion and she used to occasionally break into a jig
she was close to the supervisor and used to go scott free for all this nonsense
i had to do half her work
our project head gave me the option of becoming senior to her and becoming her boss
i asked why she is not selected so the project head said that they want to give me the chance
even they noticed that i worked hard my only minus point is interpersonal skills
i think this coworker will join back within few days...i am least interested in seeing or meeting
her
infact i don't have any friends in my office....its a boring place
most of the colleagues are much younger to me....

What probably bugs us the most is that we are pretty talented and intelligent, but have trouble with people skills and self confidence. As a result we can get stuck in menial jobs that we don't really fit in well because we are actually overqualified. I would say don't settle for less and aspire to greater opportunities as they come. For us it would take longer and be more challenging, but in the end we can find a job that's the right fit.

Some co-workers I don't like because they're too loud, or have an annoying voice, or they are incompetent at their jobs, or they get paid more than they should, or they are too chit chatty, or they're just- in general- annoying people.

I've found that colleagues I can't stand are endemic to certain companies. Over the years I've either worked at places that were staffed mainly by people I got on with really well or staffed by people I had almost constant conflict with.

I'm incredibly grateful that my current working arrangement is with a group of friendly, honest and genuine people who I can trust and who respect me.

I've not always had that luxury, however and I'm of the opinion that toxic coworkers are far more heavily prevalent in instrinsically toxic work environments. If there's a poisonous individual at an otherwise decent place of work, they generally won't last long.

I was once forced to work with a person from another office within the company. I soon realized that he had an opinion on nearly everything and had to let everyone know them. I was just getting fed up as i couldn't get any work done with all his talking around.

And management just said i ad to work through that

i had a coworker who had the social sociopathic gift of getting all the other workers/staff on his side. he used that to manipulate people, and this fella also had a titanic temper, when you'd do something or not do something against his wishes, he would literally turn red and you could see evil anger "waves" emanating off of him. a psychic coworker told me she could see his "aura" as black with red blotches which indicates a very evil man. indeed he did what he could to sabotage me at work and made it look like it was all my fault. he later got his, he was caught smoking pot at work, the dumb bastard.
