Are aspies immune to being fired?

I think you dealt with it the best way possible, by setting him in his place. Asperger's or not, he was a jerk and that was uncalled for. Just because someone is an Aspie, they still should know how to behave with respect around others. He obviously does if he played suckup the next day. Now be a bigger man and apologize for letting your anger get out of hand the other day (because you are at fault too as it takes two people to have an argument), and maybe you can try to befriend him and help him not be such a jerk. This sounds totally weird but it may just work. At the very least, he will hopefully respect you for admitting that you had a mistake. If he knows you're on the spectrum, he will respect you and you'll be able to help him grow, not being so rude.
