@thejamieturner, Thanks for the encouragement and the resource. Looks like most of the work is made by family and friends though! Good luck on your mission. There are certainly a lot of people who could use career counseling. It's great to hear that people are taking the steps to follow their passions.

What I found is that for me to break out of that cycle and become productive, I had to assert my need for solitude. I've done that both in my marriage and also at work, which has made my life *much* better. Just being in the right environment (for me it's being alone with no distracting sounds/sensations) puts me in a better state of mind where I can concentrate and do the stuff that really makes me happy. Good luck!

@creativeaspie I have followed a similar path as you regarding trying to act "normal" versus just being myself. I've struggled with that most of my life, and it's only recently that I've really come to appreciate how much much more I have to offer being me than trying to fit into the social norms.

I wonder though, how did you make the jump to entrepreneurship? Can you share your experiences selling your services and/or product?

Sounds like a great idea. I see a lot of people who are looking to make this leap but are afraid of the uncertainty.

I've created a thread that provides some context to a blog post I've written about this to answer some people's questions:

See you there!
