So true  I think patrons might pay me to stop dancing.

I would be wary of the job the OP is describing... it sounds like they are pushing you toward that back room stuff which sounds closer to prostitution than dancing.

I aso have a bad sense of that business because of what happened to a friend of my wife. She was working as a stripper and suddenly woke up in a car with a guy who was taking her home, saying she passed out after work. It sounded to me like Fulnitrazepam/Rohypnol. She had no memory of how she got there or what happened to her, but was peculiarly sore, etc. She was too freaked out by the possibility of the idea of being unconscious and in the control of others who may have wanted to use her body without her consent--she couldn't even cope with thinking about the idea.

My sense is that in a lot of places this is considered part of the sex industry and therefore only semi-legal, sleazy and socially unacceptable. It's the kind of thing that can prevent you from working in "respectable" jobs later (there was a recent case of a school teacher being fired because of a past in the sex industry).

There is another problem (and this gets back to the story about my wife's friend) stripping exists at the intersection of legal commerce and the underground economy that is dominated by organized crime. If you operate in that world, you can find yourself in the company of people who operate in a much darker world of exploitation and violence.

If you do pursue this kind of trade, be very careful and aware of what you are getting in to and the ways that you can put yourself at risk (be careful what you drink, etc.)

Thanks for the advice, but I been there about 3 weeks, and I doubt there's organize crime going in the club I am at. The worst that happens in my club is the dancer's own addictions, but that's something I could easily ignore since I am focus on myself when I am at work. Also, the dancers are ignoring me for the most part besides small talk, and I notice they have their own private parties. I don't really fit in with them, but they have nothing to do with the clients.

I'm kind of mix about this job, since I think autism is helping me feel disconnected from the drugs/drinking/nastiness with the job (and because they are for the most part in their 20s, and treated like they are beautiful, I feel like this is what being popular in high school would feel like in a weird way), but it also hinders it to an extent but because I am there to make money I am somewhat "force" by an invisible hand to make money, so I have to talk to customers. It has its own culture.

In all reality, I treat this job just like a geisha would, it's all entertainment, and I am in fact enjoy it when I get the right customers. I don't think I am going to be here forever, but just temporary until I find a decent job.

Im a bit late replying here sorry! Im a stripper with Aspergies and I am 4th top earner out of 60 women! Mwhaha! I think it's great because theres lots of psycology reports online and help with body language/how to flirt and I research about my job daily to keep me ontop of my game. Im not the dirtest girl by a long shot but I'm the hardest worker and the most obsessed with my job too! All the men are charmed by my eccentric nature and although I dont tell them about my condition I sure dont try and hide my quirks and they take that as me being down to earth and straight talking which the other women dont have! If you really want to do the job dont let someone tell you you cant because its 'social' , im stripping it pays to be different and different I am!! !! ! Xxxxxxx

Oh I don't know, the best stripper I ever saw was a slender Japanese girl who danced with skill, a sort of seductive grace. No interaction with the guys, no flirtation, none of that dry-hump-stage nonsense. She came on, she danced, she left. After watching her, the other women seemed vulgar and overstated. To the OP - this girl was definitely a geisha style. This club allowed nudity on stage, though, which she used tastefully. Maybe you just got to own your own style? Or maybe she was just my type
I guess it depends on where you are. Dragged into a club in Las Vegas once, a chubby little blonde stripper dropped herself in my lap and chirped "Hi sugar" before I could even process what was going on. In the local clubs in my area, I would have been thrown out by a very large Maori bouncer for laying a hand on her.
Not that I'm saying it's related but I lived with a few girls who were prostitutes once. One of them had a great time - worked the corporate-type city hotels, made loads, johns always respectful, was empowered by her job. The other was a meth addict who had been repeatedly raped by customers and stalked afterwards. Room for variance, possibly same in stripping?

Ever since I broke up with my ex two years ago, most of the ladies at a club that's close to my house are OK with the fact that one of their regular patrons {meaning me} has AS. In fact, at least one of the ladies takes me out to lunch whenever an opportunity comes her way. We get a good laugh whenever I say that I may join them and be the only male stripper in their club with a "full monty" style. Of course, I have no intention on joining the ladies at all mainly because I'd rather watch them and enjoy myself.

Female strippers tend to make way more money when they're ovulating. (Those few sexy days before ovulation probably work well too.) If you have any health problems or medications that stop you from ovulating, the odds are stacked against you

All hormonal birth control keeps you from ovulating.

You'd be best at being you. Which, I assume would come off as a tease. ...which some could really, really like. Trying being more you, rather than less you. You'll be best at that.

I think it would be interesting to work as one but my husband won't let me. He will get jealous. :(

I wonder how guys would feel about seeing a woman in a diaper. Then that place would attract a bunch of AB/DLs I bet.

A little over 40 years ago [when did I get so old!! !!] I worked, not as a stripper, but as a Playboy bunny at the club in Denver. I was innocent and shy and could not pretend to be otherwise. I was by no stretch of the imagination one of the prettiest girls there, but everyone was captivated by the purity I projected [not an act as the other bunnies thought, but the real me] In high school I had been unofficially voted the "girl I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole", and just a few months later I was being asked out by Sammy Davis Jr, drinking coffee at IHOP with Barbie Benton[ who did not work there] and invited to parties by Cher, Dean Martin, and other celebrities. I think many people are intrigued by a totally innocent girl, and being myself worked to my advantage. I wonder if that would work for you.

I've considered this job before and I think I'd be a good way to make money and learn social skills.
