Can you spin this into a positive?

Yes, you probably could learn quicker/do a better job than the persons who were picked.

That happens to NTs all the time. Cuter, blonder, bigger boobs, drinking buddy, trust fund kid of the boss, I've been there.

You got move, not fired! The company does value you. And bonus, you won't be working with people that tattled on you.

One thing about work. Negative talk always makes it back to the boss. Someone always snitches. Take your vents away from work. I vent on workrant.com. That way I can unload the stupidity of the day safely.

Im not valuable, I work at a telemarketing center for the time being, its the sort of place where anyone who has a heart beat who isn't a narcoleptic is a "qualified and valuable employee."

Its obvious you are frustrated. As you say, anyone who has a heart beat is "valuable" so you definitely qualify as valuable . Since you realize you are are more intelligent than your job requires, why care so much about what position you are in? Where you're manager places you has no bearing on how intelligent or qualified you ACTUALLY are, it simply is his perception of your ability. I have seen many friends have this attitude at a work place and all it leads to is more frustration. You cannot change the past, so stop trying, don't be frustrated otherwise you will just end up angry and bitter. I suggest you look for a new job while maintaining your current job, and find a type of work that suits you and you suit the work.

The only way you are going to start doing better is to stop caring so much and taking things personally.

What are your hobbies?

in hindsight i don't really care much about the position so much as the vicious cycle im in: starting out great with no problems but breaking down to such a point that I end up getting fired. I have been booted from good jobs because of it, and I work at this outhouse precisely because I was fired before from a job I actually enjoyed. It is a recurring problem, I make so many mistakes that I end up getting fired, for one reason or another. I have another post about the first time I was fired.

Stop caring and believing there is a cycle, and there will be be no more cycle.

Funny thing is I am not consciously worrying about the cycle, it is only after the fact that I realize I seem to be in a cycle
