I hear in France if you apply for a job they also anylize your handwriting based on the false notion that certain types of handwriting reveal positive or negative personality types. This is complete bollocks pseudoscience and about as ridiculous as phrenology. Anyway if you lived in France and just happened to have the wrong type of handwriting you'd have trouble getting work even if you had the same positive traits they say you're handwriting proves you lack.

I'm so glad I work with computer and not in France. I would NEVER get a job in France if this is true

Srsly.

I ran into a similar question when I applied at a local hippie shop. WTF does that have to do with the job?

They also asked what two things I'd change about the world if I could do so, as well as why I wanted to work there. SERIOUSLY? ISN'T IT f*****g OBVIOUS WHY I APPLIED FOR THE JOB? MONEY, DEAR BOY!

Well it is kinda obvious. But at the same time, they want to know why you applied for a position at their place in particular, often times they want people who agree with the company policy and things like that. They want to hire people with lots of motivation, people who really want to work there. It's kinda annoying, especially for people who have a hard time showing enthusiasm ( like me. )
