I make over 7 but under 8 and hour. I cannot believe that amount that you folks are getting paid! I started out at $5.15 so I'm actually doing fairly well. Good thing I'm naturally frugal...

i make a little over 50K, i think that's somewhere in the 20's per hour. 5 years ago i was making $7 an hour in temp jobs, then 20K at clerical entry level civil svc. i thought there was no way 50 wouldn't be enough to make me happy but it turns out happy doesn't have as much as i thought to do with the money. plus it seems no matter what i make i spend twice as much. i used to think i'd go for any promotion but the more i make the more stressed out i get and i couldn't see taking on any more no matter what it was paying. at this point i just want to start disengaging from my prime spending years so i could stop having to go out into the world and earn a living.

I checked the last option, just for fun and to screw up the results.

Actually, I get nothing hourly. However, I'm worth much more than $150/hour -- teaching three different grade levels of school every day to three kids with various developmental/learning issues, dealing with a 20yo with an attitude (who fortunately works and pay his own bills), along with being responsible for all the cooking, cleaning, laundry, financial management, etc. for the household.

The kids do help out with their chores, and the 20yo pays rent to live in the basement and basically come and go and do as he pleases.

Hubby drives truck and is hardly home, so his entire direct-deposited paycheck is mine! All mine! I give him a weekly allowance to pay his road tolls and to eat in truckstops. He couldn't begin to afford to pay me what I'm worth, and he certainly couldn't afford to pay someone else to do it all.

He's home weekends. Weekends are sooooo niiiiiice. I'm glad I'm appreciated. :D

So I guess a fairer assessment would be that I get paid whatever my husband's salary is. About $75,000/year.

I make $9/hour... I started at 7 about 5 years ago. I probably could have gotten bigger raises if I didn't have AS... I am in no way good at giving good impressions... and people who do nothing can look like they are doing a lot of work... I am way to humble and never "sell" myself... so I don't get good raises... or initial wages.

I also told my Boss that I am not motivated by Money... which is true... but I have now learned that this probably the worst thing you could tell you boss. Ugh... getting a good job is probably the hardest thing someone with AS can do.

I am surprised that so many of you make a really good living... gives me a bit of hope...

I'm with you. I have made it to about $18 an hour but so much of this is because of having a great boss. I have finally decided to go back for my degree so if I can stop focusing on WorngPlanet and do my home work I might just make more. Glad some are making more it also gives me hope.

I make $8 an hour as a receptionist. Usually I only get like one or two calls per hour, and my boss lets me do homework or read when it's slow. I like to view it as getting paid $8 an hour to do my homework. Muahahahaha.

Embarrassed to say I make less than a pizza delivery guy.
My people skills are so poor I have always had to get jobs nobody else wanted. I am a psychiatric crisis clinician - the guy in the white coat that comes to take you away, ha ha.

The ha ha is I have a PhD in psychology and I can't get past this job, which only requires master's degree. I love my job, but it nags me that I could get paid more and have an easier time in life. Everyone tells me I would make a good therapist but they aren't thinking about the business aspects of such a job, including networking.

I'm an idea generator so I hope one day to generate an idea I can follow through on. My colleague says I can talk the bark off a tree, but I can only do it for something I believe in. So I could sell you a solar powered atomic watch, but I couldn't sell you a car.

On the other hand, a crisis clinician is a lot like a fireman. I have a lot of fun on the downtimes, and there are plenty of extra shifts. I don't get paid overtime, but the extra shifts are overnights where all I do is watch to make sure the clients are breathing and behaving.

I don't have a 'normal' job since I own my own business. It is, therefore, quite hard to calculate my 'wage per hour'. It really depends on how much I sell and how many people show up to buy etc... multifarious factors.

It also doesn't take into account part time workers, or workers who are paid by what they achieve rather than how many hours they work. For instance, a musician may get paid per performance, so they earn a huge amount per hour but there aren't many working hours for them in the week.

I think it would be a much better indicator if you rated this by salary and whether they are full time/part time and not by hourly wage. I don't get paid by the hour anyway and most professional people I have met don't either. Non of my friends get paid by the hour either. I suppose it all depends what you do for a living.

Hourly rate of french minimum wage : £ 5.4 (gross) £ 4.2 (net)

The corresponding monthly wage is £ 645 (net) as a full-time employee works 35 hours per week.
