When I was fifteen, no gas station would hire minors as they sell alcoholic beverages there.

I used to go to work with my parents doing domestic work before I was 10. By 13 I had an illegal job at a local clothing place in town plus a side gig babysitting. I really worked everywhere and anywhere, I worked retail, restaurant, florist, bakery, really anywhere that would have me.

When I was 15, a local big box home improvement store opened. I told my parents when I turned 16 I would work there and even though I went through 6 hours of interviews and tests (! !) I did just that. I was stuck as a cashier and first: I was REALLY good at it but absolutely hated the repetition and the non stop customers. Ended up staying for 7 years before I couldn't handle it anymore.
