Job search begins by understating my qualifications

I know that I am in the minority here, but I personally think that this is a mistake.

I have always believed that (especially for people with Asperger) you "are what you are"; trying to hide things is counterproductive.

I went for a job at the lower end of the employment scale once and simply said that I was at the stage where I didn't want anything senior; I openly broght the subject up by saying that I was concerned about what they thought about a well qualified person applying.

They respected that, it cleared the air and................... I got the job!
