In my church, volunteers do get "paid", if only in meals, coffee, and/or donuts.

I usually volunteer first, and then (discretely) ask if we'll be fed later. The answer is usually 'yes'.


Church (paid) staff tends to be on the thin side. I don't know, I've never gone to a really big churches, all the ones I have gone to so far, you could know everybody's names probably in a year or so.

Don't know why OP wants remote work only, but that cuts potential income in 1/2 at least, IMHO. And good luck getting the malware they make you install off the computer.

He told me he took a little break to focus on some practical, spiritual, personal goals to accomplish.

Oh, and you're right about Work-from-Home style jobs being very annoying about downloads.
