Yes, absolutely. In fact, ours is. Brilliant knowledge, clear thinking, doesn't give up, works hard, marvellous.

Any inclination I'd have to pass up the guy for his AS would be because I suspect he can't do the job. But if I have proof in front of me that he CAN do the job - which I would demand for ANY legal representation ANYWAY - it makes the point MOOT. If he can do it, I don't even care if he has chronic spontaneous combustion.

Meanwhile, if I need my computer fixed, I think I'd be disappointed if the technician made eye contact with me. I feel my computer is in more competent hands with an Aspie than an NT. Though if the NT could furnish proof that he can do his job despite his disability... (Just kidding here, folks. ^_-)

That's what I think too. I also believe they would be more likely to understand what I say and more likely to stick to their principles instead of selling out.

As an Aspie lawyer, I am very encouraged to see these observations.

The social skills and interpersonal stuff remain a challenge, but I am working on them. Indeed, knowing I have AS is helping me to develop those areas more specifically because I know what I have to work with.

But yeah, I am extraordinarily good with details (as compared with the general population), very logical and precise, hard-working, and fiercely stubborn and persistent.

Thanks for the votes of confidence!

It's a matter of balance too, isn't it?

I take it a mild to moderate Aspie would have all the advantageous qualities mentioned thus far, balanced with the ability to communicate with and sway the people, but a severe case would be too out of touch to have the needed pull on anyone and get the desired result. Am I correct?
