If you really want to be your own boss, read "The E Myth". It will totally change your approach to stepping out on your own.

Seconded. Being our own boss needs plenty of hard work, effort and sweat. Think life as a boss is ever easy?

If you're not willing to put the work in, and you instead go for the easier option, you're never going to get rich. If you actually bother to work harder than most people, you will be rewarded more, and achieve something exceptional. I don't care how much I have to work, I'll be able to retire earlier if I want anyway, and I'll also live in Monaco, and I have every intention of doing something similar to this with my company. I'll also be able to buy anything I want, and plan to own a private jet, homes around the world, Maybachs, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and lots more. Try doing that from just getting a job like every other lazy person on this planet.

Right now I am currently working on my bachelors degree in social work and when I graduate I want to get my masters in social work as well. I also have plans on opening my own beauty supply/hair care business with my mom sometime in the next ten years or so.

I think risk, toil, hard work, determination, vision and sustained effort are all tenets to great tenets of wealth!

Unfortunately, I lack all these so I am contented with being myself...

Independent investigative consultant.

Similar to how Sherlock Holmes originally described himself. Investigators/investigation agencies (public or private) would come to me for advice when their investigations hit a dead end. I would review their case files and look for things they may have overlooked, either because they missed it or didn't see the relevance at the time, or they just needed a different perspective. I then point them in the right direction and suggest ways of developing leads or assist with developing investigative strategies.

I know there are various types of consultants (forensics, behavioral profilers, fraud specialists, etc.) but I'm not sure if there's anything like what I described. I do know I'm nowhere near being able to do this (yet!).

I want to be a ballet dancer with San Franscisco Ballet or American Ballet Theatre in New York City. If neither of those work out, (which they will) I'll settle for Boston Ballet.
