Yeah, I've been all over the place. I've never stayed anywhere more than 3 years. I hate working in admin, but it's the only experience I've ever had. I have an HND in Multimedia, but that doesn't really help. I would need an honours degree before I would even be looked at for Web Design or Graphic Design and then I don't have any experience. I loved being a student. I couldn't afford to keep going though and I was worried about how much debt I was getting into and if I would ever be able to pay it back.

I hate what I call "corporateness". I don't understand the business world and I don't like being a part of it. I've found that I don't like working with other women. I work for a construction company now and there are mostly men here and we have things to talk about like going to concerts and we lend each othe CDs.

I don't know what to do now. I'm stuck in a corner. I hate working in an office, but what else can I do?

I like to think that my CV shows that I have alot of experience rather than showing a lack of commitment. My broad range of past jobs has helped me to get the job I'm in, or so the managing director told me.

A while back I was looking for a seasonal job with the potential to stay on. Most of my previous jobs had been temporary, as in seasonal work or semesters length positions at school.

I decided to apply at one of the large retail stores here as back to school season was coming up and they usually need more workers around that time.

I wrote my job history down on the application because it asked for it, along with the dates and reason the period of employment ended, to which I put "this was a seasonal job", meaning, I applied for the job because it was seasonal and I left because the term of employment was finished. And where it asked what I was doing between employment periods I put "attending school"

I was called in for an interview, and called back for a second one, during which I was told they decided to choose someone else over me. When I asked why, the assistant manager replied "Well, I talked it over with the store manager and our issue was with the fact that your employment history is a bit spotty."

?????

I don't know what part of "seasonal position" the guy and his boss didn't understand but I had an epiphany on the way out of the store in which I realized that stupidity was a job qualification for lower management.
