If I can give an advice, if anyone is going to lie on a CV, do it only if you have no other choices, if you have not other alternatives and that you really need to the job.
First, make sure you believe your own lie, and have a friend or someone you know who can backup that lie in case they check.
I once applied for a secretary job (3 month contract) and I put on my CV the four languages I speak (French, English, Spanish and Greek), and the employer decided to hire me, and told me the the next day to come back to sign my work contract. I showed and he was in his office with another man (who was a Greek owner of restaurant) and that man started speaking to me in Greek, luckily I was able to answer and have a conversation.
Just saying, the employer simply wanted to know I wasn't lying.
But he didn't see the real lie on the CV where I said I had worked previously in an office, what I have never done before.
Sadly I go fired after 2 months for my bad social skills.
