Most of this sounded like you were just jealous lol the term "psychopath" seems completely irrelevent here, he just seems like a "typical American" to me.

Asking all kinds of personal questions, well, you can just give vague answers and change the subject or feign no knowledge of others. "My weekend was great, love the sunny weather, and, well, didn't see Suzy, so not sure what she was up to. I've got a draft of the report you requested. Would you like to chat about it now or should I set up a time for us to meet later this afternoon?".

From what you've described, I'm not seeing that your boss is a psychopath or, more importantly, that even if he is a psychopath (1% of the population is!) that his behavior has crossed into the realm of the illegal.

Um...I kind of iterated several times that this guy is my COWORKER, not my BOSS. But I'm having second thoughts about his behavior at this point. He's definitely not acting that way anymore, and seems a little kinder. I think it was just a trial period where he was trying to get to know me and assess my behavior, and he came off a little bluntly about his own in the process.

Lol, "typical American"? Makes me more ashamed of being one then, I guess, if that's how we "typically" are. Still, he might be more of a typical "Indianan" than a typical "American."
Also, what do you mean that I'm "jealous"?

It's just that most of your red flags were compliments: "overly charming," "good leadership skills," "tall, blonde, and handsome"

Edit: Also, I was more kidding about the "typical American" line, it's a stereotype in some countries that Americans have big personalities like you described.

Just like the "we're all practically Texans" stereotype? :P

None of that suggests psychopathy. To me it suggests he learned his social skills from the bad guys in 80s movies.

Im very outgoing and pick up on things quickly and when I was younger I would overshare or ask personal stuff. I learned my social skills the hard way, they did not come naturally, and it was mimicry at first. Maybe he has some issue like that.

A person can be a dick without being a psychopath or sociopath.
