heck.. I'm going to library school in the fall.

1. You have to have a master's degree and you actually get to feel smarter than everyone else... which you probably are.

2. You spend all your time looking stuff up and helping people find things (unless you want to be alone all the time in which case you're a research librarian)

3. When you're not busy... you can read, and there are always new books to read, you can practically never run out. (once you run out of books, there are periodicals, newspapers, microfilm... you get the idea)

4... come on.. it's just cool. You'd be like Noah Wiley... quest for the spear and all that. Kind of like Indiana Jones, but a weenie.

A) Something not socially interactive.
B) Involving electronics or nature.
C) Something that doesn't involve cold weather.
D) Things causing demolishment of physical objects, for example explosives.
E) Anything I can do by telephone.
F) To earn money you have to have several jobs to survive.
G) Whatever that's single minded business preferably performed when most people sleep.

I'm tired and just waked up finding my bike stolen. again.

I think that once I finish my degree, if I can't find anything good to do with said degree, I'll go work on the oil rigs. I will work with a bunch of rednecks and it will be hard, but I can make a lot of money which I will then hopefully save. I just can't picture myself holding down much of a real job beyond a trade, a sh***y service job, or something that requires no social skills and little organization. I just feel like I am your typical bum with AS, and even though I have been labeled "smart", and have done very well in some subjects in school, I don't have the networking or communication skills to do a lot of jobs. I can't even concentrate on school half the time, my mind keeps wandering in so many different directions. Good thing I have accepted my limitations and for the most part don't care anymore. Ah well, back to work...

Professional Bassist. You would get paid tons of money to play extremely simple parts that noone can even hear because the drummer keeps playing too hard, and noone pays attention to you on stage. Then, when you're not recording or touring, you will have tons of time to pursue your other interests. I wouldn't mind something like that at all :D .

Personally, I like accountancy.

You usually know what's going on, even without talking to anyone since you see see all the money that goes in and out.
The interaction required is minimal, usually people just want to know about a specific transaction, a balance, or something simple like that.
Pretty much everything is by the book, if you don't know how to do something, the standards are outlined to a T.
Most people don't understand accounting, nor do they make any attempt to, so you don't get people just asking random questions about what you do.
Unless you're doing field auditing, most of the jobs are simple 9-5's, and there's no reason you'd be on call either.

Also it pays pretty well :D

Mechanical Engineering kicks serious but
Depending on the position and there are many variations.

The work is steady
It's heavy in numbers
Low interaction. Occasional presentations but that's pretty rare.
The learning aspect is life long. There is so much to know.
There are a lot of strange characters so you tend to fit in.

I REALLY miss my old job as a movie projectionist. If I was lucky I could be alone all shift, all I'd see was the back of people's heads. Too bad the pay was crap...

I know a young guy who got a job as a video game pre-release tester. He basically tries to find the faults in the games before they are released. Dark room all day, playing video games.

Seriously though, this stuff all sounds horribly boring and monotonous. I'm pursuing acting or working as a trainer at sea world or a similar establishment.

I think the perfect job for someone with AS (or anybody) is something that you are interested in/passionate about, and something that you can do day to day without it causing you too much stress/problems. If you pick something that doesn't fit that criteria, you probably won't be very happy doing it.

I think you are quite correct....i ended up going into teaching but teaching my special interest.
