My dream job would be for me to travel the planet via motorcycle at my own pace while being paid to look at and take pictures of things along the way.

My dream job is: medical coder.

What is this? A trained professional (through a community college) who takes courses in human anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, computer information systems, and medical coding and medical terminology.

The professional reads through doctor reports and, using one's knowledge of anatomy/physiology/disease processes/medical terminology/and coding procedures, assigns diagnostic and procedural codes for insurance reimbursement and/or statistical purposes.

I'd like to be a singer/songwriter and have my own album :)

However, I'm currently in college studying to become an elementary school teacher...I love kids, and it's a stable job...I still plan on possibly pursuing a career in music on the side though...I'll probably wind up just going to karaoke nights or singing in weddings or something...which reminds me: I love the movie The Wedding Singer.

Here are my possible dream jobs:

1. Writing policy analysis in some political think tank.

2. Freelance writer at home.

3. Translator (most ideally French or Russian into English).

I'd love to have a job where I could just sit in front of the computer all day, researching and coding whatever interesting things come to mind. No pressures from deadlines or expectations....like maybe at a research think tank or something. I especially love what I think is called "data mining" these days...taking huge amounts of raw data and writing software to plow through it all and produce useful reporting from it. Especially if it's numerical data...numbers and math make beautiful abstractions in my head and when I'm working on large numerical data sets if feels a lot like sculpting with numbers to me (I'm having trouble explaining it...hopefully someone will get what i mean :) )

My absolute dream job would be to scan and process very high-resolution photographs in a printing firm.
