I have an interview today at the red deer superstore.I am hoping I can get the job.I am more concerned about the questions than I am the social part at the moment.I have sucessfully done interviews in the past but am hoping the recession doesnt impact things this time.I know how to go through the social aspect of it.I just answer to the best of my knowledge, and truthfully and with the eye contact thing, I have a trick whereby I look at them eye level and have my eyes sorta slit open or looking past the interviewer to give them the illusion of eye contact.Another tip for a sucessful interview is to ask even 1 question at the end about the business when they ask if there are any questions.NEVER ask about pay and such.

I got the job.I just have to wait a few days for the mandatory criminal record check to clear.I have no criminal record, so to me it just means a few days of waiting. :)

Thanks.I am hoping the recession doesnt cause things to go kaputz. Before moving to Red Deer, I was working a similar job stocking shelves at a grocery store in Vegreville.I had that job for 2 steady years and had good reviews and 2 raises.Because of that 2 years experience, i was able to get this job. which is exactly the same thing I was doing in Vegreville.

Congrats and thank you for sharing. I always seem to gaze through them as well until my eyes hurt lol but it works to give the illusion that you maintain eye contact with them. What's more crucial is answering their question right to the T. I feel many interviewers just want to hear the very same answers that they have thought of rather than the ones coming from our own mouth.
