My situation is this I want to attend summer courses and I do not mind if it takes me two more years to graduate from college. But my mom and dad want me to accept an internship. Currently, that situation with my internship is iffy because it conflicts with my summer session which begins in mid-July to late august. It's a government job and I get paid $10 an hour.

But seriously when is the right time to look and get a internship?

In my field, we interview for summer interns during the spring. I don't know what is common elsewhere. Your school probably has career services or something like that where you can find out about internships. I would try to get the internship if I were you, it's a real advantage to have some kind of work experience under your belt when you get out of school.
