I might be getting a job in a chip shop soon

I'm 14 and I haven't ever been employed before, and my younger brother has a job delivering leaflets for the local salon (which is technically illegal because he's not old enough to work), so today I went to all the shops in the village to see if anyone was hiring. Most said no, but the fish-and-chip shop have taken my name and telephone number, and have said they'll get in touch soon, so I might get to work there soon.

I don't know what I'll have to do, or how much I'll get paid, but it's better than having to rely on my parents for money.

Saldy, we don't have chip shops in the States. I like them, though.
