Here's the situation:
my friend, L, is driven nuts by the trainer at our work. So is the person next to her, J, and myself. So she jokes around. This time when the trainer began speaking and wouldn't shut up, she wrote "kill me."

They now think she's suicidal >.<

L is close to me (as a friend, not in that way), and now she faces being dismissed from work all because she wrote that up. She has vehemently denied that she is suicidal, and given that I know the context (otherwise I'd be worried too >.>), this seems to be a nonissue.

My question is: What do I do? Do I ignore the issue, or do I speak up?

Did she explain that it was a joke? (dark humor?) And why would they want to dissmiss someone that they think is suicidal?

Were you asked the context?

A) Yep, it was so obvious it didn't even need to be explained. J laughed, as did she, as did I.
B) It's a job at FEGS, which promotes mental health. Before they place us, they have to know if we are mentally fit enough to go out into the workplace for an actual job.

C) Sorta, but I feel kinda weird about saying "She said that because of YOU!" so I said she wasn't feeling very well--which is what L told me to say.

Perhaps a talk with L would be a good idea. Best to know if she wants you to tell the truth about it and also think about if there are repercussions for you as well.

Are you allowed to be honest? also what other factors are involved with this?

A) She doesn't appear to want me to tell the truth. There are no repercussions for me, at least not as far as punishment. Instead, I am told that she is suicidal and they are "dealing with it" O.o

B) I'm not exactly sure.

C) That's pretty much all the factors, besides the fact that I don't think the trainer likes L.
