Okay so school has started, things are starting to slow down at work (I work at best Western in the laundry room) and pretty soon I won't be at work very long, more like four hours. So I'm thinking about getting another job so that I won't depend on SSI and be a leach to the society. I feel like I'm going to be if i don't find another job just because I'm on SSI. So I'm thinking about having two jobs so that I won't be a leach to the society.

If you think you can handle it, then go for it.

You know your capacity better then we do...but just want to make this point....

Doing TO MUCH...can be counter productive....When I over load myself, two things happen...

1)I dont do any of them well because I am to stressed

2)I have a "break down" and cant do anything, which would cost society more in health care costs

I think I have a healthy balance going right now...I work full time at a job that is not as stressful as some I have had(its overnights...I have a couple of hours in the beginning and end that are very stressful but time inbetween to "recover"...I would like to do more...I have always wanted to volunter at an animal shelter...maybe will at some point, but for now, even that extra time would make me fall behind in doing daily responsabilities that I already have a hard time keeping up with..you have to know yourself and except your own limitations with a balance of challenging yourself occassionally,so you can keep growing as a person...Its a matter of timing and prioritys..

As far as being a leech...(I tend to be a "liberal" on this subject...string me up Johnnie)

It isnt "easy" and shouldnt be to get on SSI...losing it and then trying to get it back when you really need it most...is even more difficult...Maybe if you knew that the money spent on you would be going to another person in need....it would be something to consider but I think it's more likely going to be used for tax-breaks for the billionares(not the middle class)or worse,to payfor the upcoming war with Iran....naa...the powers that be dont seem to care if they increase the national debt another few trillion...after all Armigedon is around the corner and they will be in heaven watching us sinners burn.

OOps..of tangent...point is...dont sweet the SSI...its not like your going to get rich on it.

I have found that 2 part-time jobs are more stressful than 1 full-time job. Your problbly better off getting one full-time job.
