Hiya, you may remember a couple months ago I was quite down as I have been forced out of my previous job by bullying an other cap.
I started at a new job this week!
They seem nice. I think they like me
The pay and hours ae less than my old job - but that place was slowly killing me.
So things seem to be looking up! Thanks! 8)

I would rather have slightly less pay at a job I actually enjoy opposed to making more money at a job that makes me miserable. Good luck. Hope the job is going good for you!

Hi Opal,

Congratulations!

One word of caution: It may be difficult to tell on your first week or even month on a job whether or not they really like you. I know from experience that some places wait a few weeks or months and then lower the boom on you, especially for personal behavior which (1) they're uncomfortable talking with you about and (2) they figure - rightly or wrongly - you should already know not to do.

On the other hand, if they really do like you there, that's great! I completely agree that fitting in well and being happy with the people there - and vice versa - are more than worth a small increment in salary. (To some people they're more than worth any amount of money, and I can understand that.)

Cheers!
