Hi there
I'm a female in my early 20's looking for a job.
I was told to fill out multiple job applications and go to many interviews until I have several job offers to choose from. This all sounds logical to me, but I have a problem with being overly-loyal to the first job I come across that I want.
I seem to fixiate myself on that job, and have a hard time getting myself interested in any other job. Perhaps it's because I don't even want to work at all.
Have you ever run across this kind of problem?

I've had that problem before. I was recently just hired by AOL, however, and the job sounds pretty cool. I look forward to starting it. Just apply all the places you would like to work and a few companies where you don't want to work but could bear working for.

Thats what I did.

Cool!
Congrats on your hire and thanks for the reply.
I got invited to a job interview unexpectedly, and went to it a bit annoyed because I was hoping for another job that I could put up with...
But as it turned out, this job was well suited for my abilities and interests and I left the interview thrilled about it!
Learned my lesson.
