I just got called for an interview for Allies, Inc ... an organization that specializes in helping adults with a variety of disabilities.

Here's my dilemma.

I also intend on using Allies, Inc. for both supported employment and living arrangements. Because of this, they will know I have some sort of neurological impairment. I sent a resume to this organization a month or so ago.

I have not yet to undergo any evaluation from the DVR office, so they probably don't know if I have any disability or not. I know that the manager I spoke to at the last aspie support meeting does, so here's the question:

Should I then tell the interviewer that I have a learning disability? What if the interview finds out later on that I am using the same organization because of my condition? I think it might look odd.

This has nothing to do with the last post when I talked about another job interview.

I don't see any reason to tell the interviewer unless you think the disability will negatively impact your ability to do your job. I think that once you're hired some states require employers to distribute a form called "invitation for self-identity" where you have a chance to write something to tell them that you have a disability.

I had this interview, and the job was more of a maid / nanny type of thing, so I didn't bother. So, this post no longer really means anything.
