Idk why it has to be so difficult. I thought I had gotten somewhat decent at interpreting body language, turns out I was wrong...

I guessed the first part right, about who the employer was. It was mostly because he was looking at that paper, though.. With the interviews i've been at, the employer is usually looking at your application or something.
